The Village of Adventures

Sustainability

We are committed to be an ambassador of change and create a festival that leaves a positive impact on our country and beyond.

Waste Recycling

Like every year, we're committed to minimizing our environmental footprint by collecting plastic, aluminum, and glass waste during the festival. We've found that about 30-40% of the waste generated at the event is suitable for reuse or recycling. To enhance our efforts, we'll have around 50 volunteers actively moving throughout the festival to gather selective waste.

Our goal is to achieve a 50% recycling rate.

Kids Love Green

An environmentally friendly space for all, the South Outdoor Festival is also offering a dedicated green space to children 3-10 years old. From activities ranging from “How to become an activist” to taking part in compost challenges and creating one’s own arts & crafts from waste, we highly value raising awareness among younger generations.

Art from Waste

Art from Waste

Many admire recycled art, as it’s clever and imaginative! But you may also just want a few pieces to feature in your homes, or maybe you just enjoy looking.

Here at South Outdoor Festival you can find it all, admire our recycled art installations or try to build one together with your children.

Refill not Landfill

We will be offering water from the main water supply of Borsh, of the same quality as that found water bottles. Refilling a reusable water bottle makes a huge difference in the volume of plastic bottle waste. Look for the water droplet symbols on the map to locate these points.

Paper Services

To show our dedication on making the festival as sustainable as possible, our delicious food will be served in recycled paper dishes, hence lessening the environmental footprint.

Reusable Cups

In line with our tradition, the South Outdoor Festival continues to embrace the 'Never give up on your cup' initiative, serving drinks in reusable cups. Purchase your initial cup for 100 ALL, and whenever you're ready for a refill, simply exchange your used one for a clean one at no extra cost. If you prefer not to carry your cup throughout the event, you have the option to return it and receive your money back.

Don’t Suck!

You won't see plastic straws at our bars, as they are extremely harmful to the environment; therefore our bartenders will only provide reusable straws, upon request.
